AgeSpan, Inc. Position Responsibilities: We are seeking a motivated survey intern to contribute to our Quality team and support various projects aimed at collecting and analyzing valuable data. The intern will be responsible for assisting in data collection, and preliminary analysis, helping us gain insights into customer preferences. This internship provides a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in survey methodology and data-driven decision-making. Working hours are flexible, and the internship duration will be 6 months or more. Essential Functions: (Core duties or tasks that are fundamental and not marginal to the performance of the job) Assisting with phone call survey : Collaborate in the implementation of phone-based surveys by making outbound calls to respondents. The intern will follow a script, ask survey questions, and record responses accurately. This role may also involve conducting follow-up calls for clarification or additional information. Data Collection and Entry : Conducting surveys through various channels, the intern will be responsible for collecting accurate and reliable data. This includes managing survey distribution, monitoring responses, and entering data into databases for further analysis. Preliminary Data Analysis : Assist in the initial analysis of survey data, including organizing and summarizing findings. The intern will work closely with Quality team to identify trends, patterns, and insights that contribute to the overall Consumer Experience. Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress regularly. The intern will participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and provide updates on survey activities and findings. Documentation : Maintain thorough documentation of survey processes, methodologies, and results. This includes creating detailed reports and summaries that can be used for internal reference and external reporting. Adaptability and Learning : Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges. The intern should be proactive in seeking guidance, troubleshooting issues, and acquiring new skills to enhance their contribution to the team. Flexibility in Working Hours : Recognizing the dynamic nature of survey work, the intern should be open to flexible working hours as needed to accommodate specific project demands and timelines. Qualifications/Skills: Educational Background: Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program, such as sociology, psychology, market research, or a related field. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate survey questions clearly and professionally. Fluency in multiple languages, if applicable, is a plus. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in survey data collection, data entry, and documentation. The ability to identify and address discrepancies is essential. Analytical Thinking: Basic analytical skills and a willingness to learn data analysis techniques. The intern should be able to contribute to preliminary data analysis under the guidance of the research team. Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment, handling varied responsibilities and adjusting to changes in project priorities or requirements. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within the team, as well as when interacting with survey participants. The ability to navigate different respondent dynamics is crucial. Organizational Skills: Effective organizational skills to manage survey processes, documentation, and time efficiently. The intern should be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively. Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including data entry, Microsoft word, Excel and a willingness to learn and adapt to survey software tools. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges encountered during survey implementation and to contribute constructively to solutions within the team. Customer Service Skills: If involved in phone surveys, good customer service skills to engage respondents, handle objections professionally, and maintain a positive interaction throughout the survey process.
