The ideal candidate will manage, optimize, and secure our Windows and Mac environments, ensuring the highest performance, reliability, and user satisfaction. This role requires a strong background in systems administration, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration: * Manage and maintain Windows and Mac systems using Intune and JAMF Pro, respectively, ensuring optimal configuration, performance, and security * Optimize and leverage NinjaRMM for effective remote monitoring and management of endpoints. * Conduct regular system health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure the infrastructure meets current and future business needs. InfrastructureOptimization * Drive infrastructure optimization initiatives, including cloud migration, virtualization, network and storage optimization, and workstation/server refresh cycles. * Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency. Monitoring and Alerting: * Design, implement, and continuously improve monitoring and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues proactively before they impact users. * Implement a comprehensive monitoring and analytics solution to gain real-time visibility into the performance and health of the IT infrastructure.IT Service Management: * Manage and optimize the organization's use of Fresh service, a cloud-based IT service management (ITSM) platform, to centralize asset management, incident management, and change management workflows. * Work closely with the IT service desk team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of IT services, including incident resolution, request fulfillment, and user support. * Define, monitor, and report on SLAs for critical IT services, ensuring that performance targets are consistently met or exceeded. Security and Compliance: * Implement and manage a comprehensive patch management strategy to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure. * Work closely with the security team to enforce security best practices, implement access controls, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. * Participate in developing and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001). Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: * Design, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for enhancing system reliability, performance, and scalability. * Foster strong relationships with other departments, such as finance, HR, and operations, to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with broader business goals. Leadership and Mentoring: * Mentor and guide junior IT team members, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Documentation and Reporting: * Develop and maintain comprehensive systems, processes, and best practices documentation. * Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT systems and services and provide regular reports to IT leadership and stakeholders. Vendor Management: * Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring, and ensure optimal cost-effectiveness of third-party solutions. Budget Management: * Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and alignment with business objectives. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * 7+ years of experience in systems administration, with a strong focus on Windows and Mac environments. * Deep expertise in Intune, JAMF Pro, NinjaRMM, ServiceNow, or FreshService. * Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing monitoring and alerting systems. * Strong knowledge of networking protocols, virtualization, cloud technologies, and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell). * Proven ability to develop and implement effective patch management, security, and compliance strategies. * Experience with infrastructure optimization initiatives, including cloud migration, virtualization, and storage optimization. * Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash. * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. * Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead projects in a fast-paced environment. * ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience with IT service management best practices. * Familiarity with IT governance and compliance frameworks, such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Additional DetailsThe base salary range for this position is $70K - $110k annually, depending on experience.Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
