As a CSTD Environmental Lab Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Provide technical assessments of all new technology development chemical approval requests Understand the constituent components of wastewater emissions and be able to determine treatability and impact to treatment operations. Research and development of analytical methods for complex waste streams and their treatment options. Support emissions model development and validation of current systems to treat complex waste streams. Work closely with the EHS modeling and projections groups to identify abatement project needs. Develop standards for measurement and process assumptions. Characterization of semiconductor emissions for air and wastewater models Preliminary tool and materials assessment for new semiconductor chemistries on existing environmental treatment systems Fostering a culture in which safety, operational excellence, and result orientation are the foundational Influence senior management decisions, program implementations, other discipline group leaders and area managers Development of business practices, including developing standard data turn expectations and customer alignments, establishing cost benchmarking, and establishing dashboards for lab output Daily collaboration with peer group leaders and system owners for air and wastewater treatment teams with strategic engineers to identify opportunities to improve system reliability, capability, uptime, and cost Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) analytical methods Scope of Deliverables: Determine new chemistries impacts, capacities and constraints for Process of Record (POR) wastewater and air abatement systems Characterization of treatability and emissions of wastewater and air Preliminary tool and materials assessment for new chemistries on existing Process of record (POR) systems and removal efficiency Support the validation of waste, air and water Waste Pollutant Models (WPMs) Support waste POR owner The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits: Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills and willingness to interface with internal High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) customers. Problem-solving and communication skills, skills to form a hypothesis, design experiments, analyze and summarize data to prove/disprove a hypothesis, and present results to the team and upper management clearly and concisely. Skills to work in a strong team environment, working with groups at multiple sites. Self-motivated; independent, organized, and proactive; highly responsive, flexible, and adaptable when working across multiple business units and product teams. Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed: Candidate must have a Master's in chemistry, physics or chemical engineering or equivalent degree with 5+ years of experience in related filed.
