Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control has immediate need for Quality Engineering Associate Manager in Grand Prairie, TX supporting the MLRS (M270) launcher vehicle program. The selected candidate will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Candidates for this job level typically have more than 7 years of professional experience.The selected candidate will also be responsible for the following:- Manage the MLRS (M270) Launcher Supplier Quality team and be responsible for supply chain sourced product quality and material availability, and for preventing/mitigating disruptions to Production which includes providing technical/process expertise, ensuring robust root cause analysis, driving implementation of robust corrective and preventive actions, supporting timely investigations/determinations/validations and documentation, performing quality and cost/impact data analysis, conducting/coordinating process and product evaluations, identifying risks/opportunities, and developing/overseeing improvement and engagement plans or other key initiatives- Represent the Quality organization in customer and stakeholder engagements and function as the integration and interface point between internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Supplier Quality Field Representatives, Supplier Quality Engineers, Suppliers, Supply Chain, Production & Operations, Engineering, Program Management, and Customers including DCMA and Program Office) -Collaborate with others to ensure timely and effective product source inspections, first article inspections, corrective action requests, failure investigations, and product validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards-Actively participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities- Develop and Lead team projects and initiatives to drive collaboration between multiple functions/resources/locations to ensure product/process compliance and drive continuous improvement- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain Secret clearance- Ability to support sporadic business travel, typically 25% or less overall on average Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline and/or equivalent combined education/experience in Quality/Operations/Engineering* Previous Project/Team Leadership experience with demonstrated presentation skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build consensus, and shape/influence opinions* Previous experience in Quality Engineering and/or related discipline with demonstrated quality management system understanding and quality science demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas: statistical analysis & process control, sampling, six sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, process auditing or validation, root cause analysis and corrective action validations, and supplier quality management* Previous experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, and apply knowledge in troubleshooting technical issues and developing/validating solutions* Experience and demonstrable proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams* Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance Desired Skills: * Bachelors degree in STEM discipline or higher highly preferred.* Professional Certifications/Formal Training with experience applicable to role such as Lead Auditor Certification (ISO9000, AS9100), Root Cause Analysis, Cost Account Manager (CAM), ASQ Certification(s)* Experience or familiarity with multiple Engineering disciplines (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Integration & Test) * Experience with Military Land Vehicles* Experience with Production, Refurbishment, and Sustainment Programs* Quality Process Auditing experience* Material Review Board (MRB) experience Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
