The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in and enthusiasm for healthcare issues and trends.Duties:Handle healthcare transactional matters, including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint venture transactions, and private equity deals.Manage health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance matters.Provide regulatory guidance in areas such as fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine/fee splitting rules, managed care, and health care antitrust.Requirements:Have 6 years of strong health care transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and joint ventures for healthcare stakeholders.Strong interest in and enthusiasm for healthcare issues and trends.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail; excellent legal research and analytical skills.Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities, the ability to work independently and proactively, and the ability to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs.Bar membership in good standing in DC.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance.Demonstrated regulatory experience in areas such as fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine/fee splitting rules, managed care, and health care antitrust.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Bar membership in good standing in Washington, DC.Skills:Strong health care transactional experience.Regulatory background in health care.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and legal research abilities.Effective problem-solving capabilities.
